Excellence in Numeracy Leadership

At The Forks Agowiidiwinan Centre on December 12, 2024 over a dozen educators from MFNSS gathered for Numeracy Lead Working Session. One of the goals of the gathering was to identify current strengths and weaknesses noticed in the Numeracy curriculum and within the Numeracy Department with a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) activity. Activity participants rotated around the room to each station, where they voiced their observations on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Each group presented their observations to the gathering and were tasked with bringing their findings back to their schools to share with fellow Numeracy teachers.

After the group activities concluded, Michael Valdez, a numeracy facilitator with MFNSS, presented each of the Numeracy Leaders with an Excellence award to commend their services and express gratitude for their hard work and leadership in Numeracy.
